Sunekos
What is Sunekos?
SuneKos is an injectable treatment that’s entirely different to filler treatments; this treatment uses a patented formula which combines amino acids (the essential building blocks of elastin and collagen) with Hyaluronic acid.
SuneKos regenerates the ExtraCellular Matrix (ECM) of your skin and deeply hydrates and plumps the treated tissue. This leads to ‘dermal biogenesis’. The result? A reduction in the severity of your wrinkles, hydration to both the superficial and deep layers of your skin, a desirable volumizing effect and a dramatic boost to your elastin and collagen.
The Procedure
This is a cumulative treatment. So we advise three treatments taken at two week intervals. Small needles are injected around the zones required.
How does it work?
Sunekos works by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to encourage it to produce a complete mix of collagen and elastin, restoring the vibrancy, youthful glow and health of your skin.
It is an extremely versatile product and is really good for treatment under the eye area, especially if you have black circles & bags.
Sunekos can also treat other various indications including, loss of tone, skin ageing, premature skin ageing, skin dryness, solar elastosis, acne scarring & sun damage.
Are the effects Permanent?
Expect results to last around 6 months. However, you might be able to enjoy the results from Sunekos for longer, if you maintain a healthy lifestyle and good skincare routine at home. We can highly recommend the AlumierMD products. Please speak with Laura or Nikki about these.
Potential side effects
Side effects are usually minimal and most commonly related to the injection procedure such as mild swelling and redness, occasionally bruising will occur. Other side effects will depend on the exact site of injection and we will discuss this further with you prior to any treatments.
Post treatment advice
To maximize the effectiveness of the injections in the treated area you must refrain from touching the injected area. Avoid applying makeup for up to 12 hours. Avoid vigorous exercise after treatment and any facials for up to 72 hours. Avoid extreme sun exposure, UV light, freezing temperatures and sauna/steam rooms / jacuzzis for 2 weeks after treatment.
When is treatment not advisable
Most people can have Sunekos. However, you should NOT have this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We will of course review your medical history in full during your consultation to ensure this treatment is suitable for you.
