What are Wrinkle Relaxing Injections?
The Procedure
We offer consultations for aesthetic concerns, including lines and wrinkles. During your consultation, our independent prescriber will assess your suitability and discuss appropriate treatment options. Prescription-only medicines will only be supplied following a face to face clinical assessment.
How does it work?
During your consultation, our independent prescriber will explain how wrinkle relaxing treatments work and what to expect. Any treatment involving prescription only medicines will only be provided following a clinical assessment to ensure safety and suitability.
Are the effects Permanent?
It takes up to 2 weeks to fully take effect and on average lasts up to 3 months (although it may be longer after several treatments).
Post treatment advice/Potential side affects
Following your consultation and any treatment provided, you will receive tailored aftercare advice. A follow up appointment will be arranged to review your progress, where clinically appropriate.
When is treatment not advisable
Most people can have this treatment. However, you should NOT have this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you have any complex neurological disorders such as Myasthenia Gravis, Eaton Lambert syndrome or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Wrinkle relaxing treatment may not be advisable if you have an immune system disorder or are taking certain medications. We will of course review your medical history in full during your consultation to ensure this treatment is suitable for you.
